Twittelator is yet another Twitter client for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The user interface of this application isn’t as pretty as say, Twitterrific. . .but it does have more functionality.

For example, instead of having to scroll all the way down to see your @replies, you now have a replies ‘group’.

Twittelator does give you this clever way to send a tweet to multiple people at once. Just tap the @friends button at the top and you’ll be given a wheel at the bottom to select who you want to add to the tweet.

With the recent acquisition of Summize, this application uses that to it’s advantage. After touching the magnifying glass at the bottom, you’re given just a standard search box. Click ‘advanced’ at the top, and you’ll see it expand out to the full search page.

I’ve used Twitterific and was *yawn* unimpressed. Lately I’ve been using Twinkle which is much better, I’ll give this app a chance and see if it can dethrone the Twinkle.

Okay, so I downloaded the Twittelator and it has a LOT more options than any of the other twitter clients (Twinkle, Twitterific). However, the interface is a little less impressive than the others. I do love the search feature and the multiple tweet options, but if you just want a simple app for posting, viewing, receiving, and browsing “local” tweets, I think Twinkle takes the cake. Twinkle uses wifi location to bring you local twitter user tweets, which can be fun.
I think I’ll still use Twinkle, but all of the twitter apps are the basically the same in functionality, they let you use your twitter account on your iphone/ipod touch.
It just depends on your personal preference as to which one you want to use.
