BMI is a Dutch application with allows you to change the shape of a animal into the shape of your BMI (Body Mass Index). You enter your height and your weight by dragging the shape of the various animals to make the height and weight counters at the top left of the screen to change. Then on the top right of the screen it will display your actual BMI.
The animals that you can choose between are a very weird assortment, whether it be a cow, chimp, giraffe or bull. Once you have dragged to the right specifications, the shape of the animal is meant to the be the rough shape of that the person would look like if that was their BMI details.
The application really doesn’t offer anything useful to you apart from your BMI level. The use of the sizes of the animals is only a little gimmick and doesn’t help you in any way. Also because you have to actually enter the weight and height by dragging the shape of the animal, it takes too long to get the exact size. It doesn’t give you the option of entering your weight and height by typing it in, which would be a much easier feature.
The other setback is that it doesn’t have an English version, and is limited the to dutch/german language.
Im the developer of this app. Now BMI pro is available in the App Store, which supports more languages and units in pounds and feet.
