Tap Tap Revenge

Apple iTunes

Tap Tap Revenge is a Rhythm based game very similar to something like Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero, Pa Rappa the Rapper, or Space Channel 5. This game has 3 different difficulty modes and they also let you download additional tracks(for free!). There might only be 1 additional track that you can download, but I think they will add more later.

Once you finish a track you’re given your score, your accuracy, and your streak.

This application isn’t what it used to be(they used to let you use your songs from your own music library), but it is still free. . .and you can’t beat that.

Note - The arrows are for the accelerometer use. . .not for ’sliding’.

I, like many others am sure, am very disappointed at the lack of the “iTunes Library” feature that made this game great. It was a blast, for me at least, to upload my challenges of various songs to their program for others to try. It’s a shame that this feature has not yet been implemented.
I’m sure Tapulous is researching how many people download this app so they can release an un-retarded version at a price that will convince people not to jailbreak their devices to get the “good” version. Here’s hoping that it’ll remain free and eventually allow us, the user, to use our own libraries to tap out our tunes.

I don’t think the arrows mean what you think they mean. Check out the tutorial.

I think this game would be 100x more popular if you could play the music in the ipod or iphone but apple wont let them to, except from that the graphics and controls are great for a free game but as i said the music you play along to arent so great, the accelerometer controls are quiet hard to do which is one thing i think lets it down a bit however other people may disagree. i think the people who took over this game have done a great job and i think it is a MUST HAVE free app

Have you ever played the game Guitar Hero? I know Guitar hero enthusiasts will say that Tap Tap is nothing like Guitar Hero, but it is a first step. i agree with “MiniMacLean” about being able to play song that are in your iPod music library. There are a few popular songs on there and available for download, but there needs to be more. The perfect Tap Tap would have a page on the iTunes store where you can download new Tap Tap songs for free like you can on the iPod Touch or iPhone. An App Store Best!!!
