This application lets you find out what movies are playing near you. Look it up either by movie or theater. After finding the movie you can then either by a ticket, watch the trailer, go to the IMDb page, get a map to the closest theater, and even read reviews from Rotten Tomatoes.
Another cool feature is the ‘Opening Soon’ tab that will show you what is coming out soon. You can also filter these by Limited Release or Wide Release.
Useless application for people in Canada… An alternative is Showtimes.app
