CheckWord is an application that allows you to check words and see if they are actually words. You enter a word into the application and it tells you if it’s a real word or not. Which is great to prove your friends wrong, or when you are playing games like Scrabble.
In a recent update to this free application they also added the ability to add letters to something called MakeWords. Here, you enter the letters, and then it tells you words that you can make from the various letters. This feature is fantastic if you want to cheat at Scrabble, or just want to get the longest word from your set of letters.
In the options can choose between the TWL and SOWPODS dictionary’s and also change the font size and add the ability to use “Acceptable” if the word is fairly right.
Now you don’t have to carry around that huge dictionary(or run to the computer) when you want to look up a word for Scrabble.
