G-Spot uses figures out your latitude and longitude using the iPhone 3G’s built-in GPS antenna.
I do apologize for not being able to show you more of this application. . .since I only have an iPod Touch(no GPS).
There is a really good app for the iphone/ipod touch that does this exact thing and more and is only $.99
It’s called iNetwork Test. It tests the speed of the wifi hot spot you’re on and then will give you the LAT and LON of your wifi hotspot location. It’s also pretty accurate considering it’s using wifi location and not gps.
