iPhone Tip - Quick Reset

A few times(especially during the 2.0 firmware) where my iPod Touch would get stuck on boot(at the apple logo). All it would do is freeze and get hotter and hotter. The one thing that saved me was that a few times if I continue to force the iPod to shut down(a few times) then it would eventually start up correctly.

To do this all you have to do is hold down the power button and the home button at the same time while the device is turned on. While you hold this you will see the ’slide to power down’ notification but don’t let go. A few more seconds and you will see the screen turn off and the entire iPhone or iPod Touch will shut off.

This can help, but I had heard that it is bad for your iPhone, I can’t confirm this though.
