This is a bare-bones RSS Feed reader for your iPhone and iPod Touch. It has it’s own browser so instead of closing the application, loading the page, then having to go back to the application. You can quickly go from article to article.
Touching the Source button at the top right will let you edit the default URL that’s in SimpleRSS.
Note - Make sure that you keep the http:// syntax. I deleted this one time and didn’t put it back in, and when it tried to load the RSS Feed it crashed. Which happened each time I opened the application. So I had to delete it completely and reinstall it.
This application does what it says it does, and absolutely nothing else. When they say simple they are not kidding this has to be one of the most simple apps I have ever seen, it does however get the job done.
Waste of time–not even a great free app. Why is it so hard to create a good RSS app? Byline is, so far, my favorite, but it needs more features. It’s the best offline reader, for sure, since it saves pictures.
@Scott, I feel there will be some great ‘advanced rss readers’. . .it just might take a while to develop a few
@Doug, i hope so because i find it alot more useful than twitter although i have got used to twitter i prefer rss feeds.
I havent actually got this app to work with my own feed that i want yet because it crashes everytime i open it once i have change the feed, i am very disappoint with it, although it maybe the ipod running out of ram, not actually the app,
