The port of the mammoth PC game Spore is officially on the iPhone. . .except that it’s not a port. It’s more like a piece, or slice of the game. I could totally see EA doing more of these games(like in chapters).

Earn achievements during gameplay and monitor your progress over time. This game lets you keep up to 4 different many different creatures so you and your friends or family can play their own games as well.

At the end of each level you get the opportunity to edit your creature. Stretch, squish, or expand your creature’s different segments with the touch controls. The more you play the more you unlock in the character editor. Later on you can start adding horns/spikes, eyes, scales, tails, and more.

From your review: “This game lets you keep up to 4 different creatures…”
While only four lines show in the My Creatures list, that list will scroll as you add spores — I don’t know what the limit is, but our list is up to eleven creatures so far. I’ve completed the game eight times myself, so I would have to agree with the 4-1/2 stars. The website link I gave is a MobileMe Gallery of my creatures. :-D

i thought that this game was way over-rated, alot of hype for just a big fish eats small fish game, graphics and mostly everything about the game looks great and the gameplay is also good, but its just not that good of a game in my opinion.

sorry for the double post but i forgot to mention that i did actualy play the pc version before i played this and that might have something to do with my negativity toward the iphone version, the pc version was great, but the iphone version is way to watered down.
