Now you can solve matchstick puzzles right on your iPhone and iPod Touch. This game comes with 5 puzzles so far. . .but the developer has said that more is coming.
I feel that this game has promise. . .but is just incomplete. You have to go ‘back’ from the puzzle, and then go down to find the solution, to see if you’re right. There isn’t a check feature, and I know that would be hard to do. . .but at least make a shortcut to the solution page. There’s no need to list both the puzzle and the solution on the main page.
This game has a timer. . .but no high score feature.(personal or online). To use the timer you must touch the ‘start timer’ button. I think this should be automatically activated when the first matchstick has been picked up. Another thing that should automatically come up is the goal for that particular puzzle. Instead, you must go and push the button in the top right of the application. I think a notification window that pops up as soon as you go into the puzzle would be much better.
Matchstick puzzles are very popular, and with a huge resource of actual puzzles to potentially add. . .this could be a good application. . .it just needs some work.
