Next time you go to grab that tape measure, why not grab your iPhone instead. With RulerPhone you can measure anything that you can put a card next to.
After you take a picture of what you want to measure you’ll see a layer put on top of the photo. This lets you zoom in/out to match the card layer with the physical card in the picture. This card can be anything from a credit card, license, business card, or anything else with a similar proportion.
After you line up the card, it zooms you out, and you can start measuring. Swipe to the left or right and you’ll see the measuring stick appear(you can only measure 1 thing at a time). Touch the black parts of the stick and you can adjust it so that it’s perfectly where you want to measure.
This application is full of tips and a step by step instruction that will guide you through exactly what you need to do to measure something.
i think that this app is amazing! ive never seen anything like this really, its quite clever. its pretty accurate too, after testing out with an actual tape measure its only a few cm’s off, but sometimes its a few inches off. great!
