In the recent update to the iPhone firmware Apple has given us the ability to pause an application downloading from the App Store. This is great in case you’re downloading a very big app and must go somewhere that doesn’t have WiFi.
To do this simply tap on the application icon while it’s downloading and you’ll see the text change to ‘Paused’. When you’re ready to resume this download touch the icon again and you’ll see the text revert back.

Is there any way to delete a paused application download?
I don’t think so. I had an application get stuck while downloading one time. . .but after a few restarts, it connected and finished downloading(so then I could delete it).
That’s horrible that you can’t delete it. I tried to install something but it turns out it was 306 MB. Now I have to download it all to get rid of it…
Sorry Sean, currently I believe that’s the only way.
how can i delete the songs?
you can delete by just sycing the phone – then it will be gone
Guys my iphone had the same problem but if your download is stuck and you want to delete it just Connect to the house wifi then go out for about 3hours while the download is paused the come back in the house reconnect the wifi and re start it and the iphone will say bla bla bla you know the Error Thing and TADA!Download gone!!!
And good people you DO NOT SYNC your iphone apps into your iphone because you will sync EVERYTHING and all your addresses will BE GONE!!!PEOPLE EMPHASIZE YOU EYES ON TH HIGHER CAP WORDS
go to itune and in downloads you will see paused download. right click and delete.
Hey guys, you can actually delete any downloads that you do not want from your list.
Just go to iTunes, look at your Downloads list, go to the unwanted download and swipe your finger a little to the left. The “Delete” button will be unveiled.
Hope this helps. Good luck to you all. ;)
Thank you problem solver… Swipe finger to the left worked!!! Only wish I saw this yesterday. Tks. Again :-)
