This is the ‘desk edition’ of the American Heritage 4th Edition Dictionary. Instead of the full dictionary, here you get around 70,000 entries and just over 400 photographs/illustrations.
This has the same features as the ‘full version’, so you still get your full suggestive search, bookmark and history tabs. The only differences that I noticed between the 2 would be the amount of entries.
