This is the ‘big contest’ that I was talking about before. Now to clear things up, this is NOT a NEW iPod Touch. . .this is actually MY iPod Touch. There are minor scratches on the metal back but the screen is in perfect condition. . .no dents or dings anywhere.
When I didn’t have an iPhone(and only had an iPod Touch), I needed a 2nd one to jailbreak and review unofficial applications(InstallerApps.com). I found that when a new firmware came out, not only did I need to test the old firmware, but I also needed to continue to review the applications for the older firmware.
So when I got an iPhone(to review applications that required the microphone/speaker), I found myself rarely using either of the iPod Touches that I have. I would like to keep one just in case something happens to the iPhone. I was going to sell the other, but I thought why not give back to the community.

audio note taker is the best application ever
Bible (the YouVersion app). At first it was pretty good, then it was updated a few times. Now it’s awesome and getting better. Not your typical Bible reader, it not only provides online access to many different translations in many different languages and lets you download the free ones for offline use, lets you bookmark and/or email verses quickly with an intuitive interface, but it also connects you to the online community so you can hear people’s thoughts, stories, and advice on specific passages.
I’ve always liked MotionX Poker, since the AppStore was first released.

My favourite app is Jaadu, by far. You may suggest its just another one of those VNC apps, but it really gets it right. It comes built in with an remote that not only works for itunes, but any media player you may have installed. Other useful features (necessities, in my opinion) include a keyboard and touchpad mouse function. It even shows your monitor on the iphone screen as a zoomable, scrollable, clickable image.
i think my favorite is probably the Facebook app. I love to be able to chat on my touch now.
Beejive IM is just an amazing IM app (cause it actually works!). Worth the $16. Also, Classics is looking like a great new app, I’m looking forward to the updates. I guess I should throw in a game too… With all these apps, it’s hard to pick THE best. I’d have to go with Fieldrunners or Galcon. Amazing easy to play strategy games.
Favorite app is Trace love getting the high score (I think I currently have it) but anyways keeps busy on the train and when I’m bored at work.

I love AirSharing. I uploaded all of my work related excel spreadsheets and word documents via AirSharing. It comes pretty handy when you’re on the slow edge connection and need access to your documents, instead of waiting longer loading on Google Docs, I could just launch this and access what I need. Also it’s free!
My favorite app would have to be Things. I love the fact that you can sync it up to the computer, and the UI for both the app and the Mac application are great.
Bible Verses is probably the most inspiring app I have on my phone. It never leaves me hanging, its simple, and it is Gods word. What could be better?
gpSPhone. Fun to play some classics without having to lug around a portable game system along with my iPod.

Lux Touch. I love the Risk game and this app is totally free and the only one (that i know of) in the App Store.
My favorite was, and will be again one day, Toy Bot Diaries. I finished it and am waiting for the new installment. Must say…to pick one is really difficult. I have at least 20 that I would be very sad to have to live without.

My favorite App is one called “Tuner”. I’m a huge fan of Internet Radio, and I bought the app on the very first day I got my iPhone.. It works like a charm!
TV Forecast TV Forecast lets you mark your favorite shows, and shows the schedule for the next 2 weeks. The good thing is, it lists only FIRST RUN Episodes with Episode description. So when fox decides to cancel a show for a evening, this program will show you. (Suddenly) Cancelled show will be listed as canceled too (Like ‘Do Not Disturb’ had been) The application is $2.99 – well spend money.
I think Shazam is the best. I have used it so many times! For anyone trying to figure who sang that song, nothing better than Shazam!

Beat Maker was the first Application I purchased, and I’d do it again if I had to.

iStockManager is fantastic, it’s the only App that I use every day. Well at least I use it every WEEKday.

Shazam is still the most useful app for me. Great to have it docked in a car with the radio on!

Evernote. It is perfect for college students like me who never have enough time to study on their hands, but this gives me all my notes in one place.
Evernote, used daily and the integration between the iPhone, web, desktop is phenomenal.

Pre-school adventure- My 2 year old is obsessed with this game! Anything that keeps him that entertained, yet learning at the same time is okay in my books! The graphics are some what decent, the sound is better than most apps i’ve come across and overall very easy to use.
Tap Tap Revenge: NIN edition. This is the best game for the Iphone, hands down.
Favorite game is Topple, looks great, plays great and challenging. Good Fun.

i have to say the app i find myself using the most is iFlix. i know netflix has a mobile site but for some reason i always use iFlix.
My favorite and most used app would have to be iCopter. I loved it when it was for jailbreak and couldn’t wait for a new one to come out.
Bloom. A lovely, hypnotic game slash music experience. Soothing, calming; touch the screen to make harmonious, attractive music. Couldn’t recommend more.
Bloomberg for sure. I’ve always used the full site, but having all of the articles and stock info available in an app with a better interface for the phone is just so much more convenient. Anyone who uses the normal stocks app really needs to download this instead; it’s quite the upgrade over the included app.
My favorite app is Assignments. It helps me a lot, with keeping up with assignment due dates, etc.
It’s hard to pick 1. I love 1Password, BibleXpress, Galcon and Facebook a lot.
Lux Touch is great for a while. It’s a Risk game (like the board game) – and free. AI gets repetitive after a while though.
PS. I already have an iPod Touch.
iFlipr is the most amazing app ever for flashcards. By studying and using Iflipr I’ve improved my grades atleast one letter grade in each class!
YouVersion Bible sounds great to me. I have never had an iPod of any kind, so winning this would be GREAT!
If they get it working and posted, WiFiFoFum 1.2 (might be 1.3 if we’re lucky) will be almost a godsend to me. As a part-time “Ethical Hacker” (with the cert) and the old PocketPC version of WiFiFoFum, I’ve had high hopes they’ll get the iPhone/iPod touch version’s kinks worked out so it’s as functional if not more so than the PocketPC one.

Dianhua-English to Chinese/Chinese to English dictionary is the best application out there. As a student of Chinese I have always tried to find a reliable dictionary, whether electronic or paper. In China, similar e-dictionaries go for about $80, this program is just as good as they are, plus it’s free!

The one app to which I always seem to return – and of which I never seem to tire! – is “Moonlight Mahjong Lite.” The only major restriction for the free version of this program is that it only includes four possible board layouts, while the full version includes twenty-five layouts. The graphics, performance and play are all flawless, while the game play is highly addictive. (At $4.99, I anticipate the full version of “Moonlight Mahjong” will be a purchase in my very near future!)
I’ve only dl one and that’s Stitchminder. I haven’t even had a chance to try it out yet but I love knitting so I’m sure it will come in very, very handy :) The price was right, it was free lol. I can’t wait ’til they release their next app: Knitminder. GREAT contest!!

I believe that Air Sharing is the best that there is! I was lucky to get it when they were promoting it for free, and I’ve recommended it to all my friends when it was free, and still now, when its paid. It’s definitely worth the price!

I love SplashID to store my passwords and personal info. It is password protected. I used the Palm PDA version previously and was able to port my passwords to my iPhone easily. There is a companion desktop version that makes editing a breeze.
My favorite is Stitcher. Listen to latest news on business and technology before going to bed everyday :)
The best App from the Appstore is definetly the facebook app. Safari has a lot of issues, and any apps that is a easier and more simplier version of the web browser; is a plus to me.
Apple Texas hold’em is by far the best game on the app store. The multiplayer mode by itself is worth the 4.99

My favorite is the 400mb app that costs $29.99 and is a *real* game with 20 plus hours of playing time in it. Fooled? So am I! It’s not there! There isn’t one! So instead we get these childish $.99 things that don’t use the capability of the hardware one bit. *BUT* MY FAVORITE APP is probably Vay, because its the closest to a real in depth game that I’ve found.
Evernote is a fantastic program, lets me take and store notes however I want…even with audio and photos!

hm.. tough decision. I would have to say.. Line Rider or Trace. Currently addicted to Line Rider. Was a bit reluctant to buy because you could play it for free on the internet but WOW.. It is an awesome app and the game never stops. You can go back and keep creating new lines for Bosh to ride. Love IT!
my favorite app from the app store is the crash bandicoot go kart game. although you have to pay for it, it is worth every penny. you use the accelerometer to steer and is basically like mariokart. you race, do missions, hit people with items, quick race, and it’s just really fun and is hard to put down. I also found that many of my friends love to play it, the game never gets old and is fun for everyone!

I have to say my favorite app is Lightsaber Unleashed. My neighbor across the hall and I have gotten into several lightsaber battles…and now you can even customize your lightsaber…indeed I am powerful as the emperor has forseen.

My favorite app from the app store has to be Fliparoni. What an absolutely genius way to transform the common puzzle. A moving jigsaw puzzle. The easy-to-use adjustments of the settings allow you to make it as easy or as hard as you want making it appealing for my 7 year old, to me, the ‘adult’ in the family. And, of course, the ability to use the app with your own photos just puts icing on the cake. Kudos!

Jott!!! I’ve been so much more organized with Jott! I love how it stores all your notes online too so the couple times I’ve restored my iPhone, all I have to do is log back in to Jott and there are all my notes, to do lists, etc.

Even though I don’t have an iPhone neither an iPod touch just yet (because you’ll give me one right? Just kidding, but hopefully by the power of randomness, I’d be lucky!) since I’m still a dependent teenager.
But by the gameplay of it, I think Tap Tap Revenge would qualify as a favorite for me. The simple logic and great graphics of the game is great for all audiences and considering it’s a game based on music, it’s pretty much something friends or just by yourself can really enjoy. My 6 month old computer downloaded 468 free applications would sure need something to use it with. Hahah. x]
