Crazy Tanks reminds me a lot of the old school Atari game ‘Battle Tanks’ or ‘Tank Game’. . .I forget the name of it. The goal is to go around the puzzle/maze and locate/kill the other tanks and enemies. You control the tank with the accelerometer by tilting the device, and you shoot by touching the screen.
You have a radar style map at the bottom right which shows the other enemies(if they’re close to you) and it also shows you power-ups as well. Power-ups include things like extra men, extra large bullets, spray bullets, lightning speed, etc.
It currently comes with 21 different levels, but the developer says more are coming in future updates.
The tilt controls take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it(took be about 15 minutes), you can control the tank without thinking.
The Atari game you’re thinking of is called Combat.
