Rattlesnake is a lot like the the old school game that I know called Nibbles. . .some know of it by the name Snake. The goal of the game is to eat as many snacks as you can, without running into yourself. The more you eat, the longer you get. The longer you get the harder it is to avoid yourself.
The more you eat the more points you get. . .and the game keeps track of your best scores. Instead of it listing all of your high scores it only lists your overall ‘record score’ and todays ‘record score’.
The controls are pretty good. Your snake always moves straight and you turn him by touching the screen. The bad part is that you can’t touch just anywhere. . .you have to touch around the head of the snake. Touch left of it and it turns left, touch right and it turns right. I like these controls a lot more than if it used ‘soft buttons’ at the bottom. Which would reduce the size of the area you move on.
The edge of the screen is blank, so if you go off the right side of the screen, you appear on the left side(like a continuous loop). This makes things easier for you since you don’t have to worry about running into a wall(which is what normally happens in these games).
