DTMF Dialer lets you dial phone numbers without having to physically dial them on the phone you’re dialing from. That may sound odd at first but it is more of a party trick than a useful application. Just like your phone makes tones when you press a button this app will emulate those tones.
This is what the ‘phreakers’ would do back in the day to pay phones when they wanted to make a free phone call. This was fixed and the majority of the ‘modern phones’ don’t support DTMF tones anyway. It would be very useful though if you knew of that one pay phone that it still works on though.
bah… iBeep in my opinion is better: you can customize the tunes, and the graphit si better!
it is ok, but doesn’t work on my home phone
??? It still works fine today. I never used this program but with My Palm Treo I use a program called DigiDialer all the time to place phone calls when I don’t feel like inputting the numbers manually. the trick for some phones is to slow down the output rate since the analog processors have a hard time keeping up.
