Space Buster is just one of the many breakout clones available in the App Store. While this one doesn’t really play as smooth as some of the others, the gameplay is fun enough to help compensate for that.
You get an online high scores list to see how you rank compared to everyone else. You get 3 different difficulty levels and get to unlock as many as 100 levels. Collect power-ups for points, abilities(ball multiplier, shooting, sticky pad, etc), and avoid the bad ones(smaller pads, etc). If you collect the right ones you can complete an entire level with as many balls as there are bricks(like dozens). You control the pad by touching the screen and sliding back and forth, but there’s just not much room in the level.
Which is where I think the game fails. It’s fun, easy to play, etc. . .but there’s not much time to move before the ball comes back down to the bottom. It’s still fun, the gameplay just feels choppy.
