Wordpress tells me there was 356 entries into the Big contest for November. This is more than 3 times the amount of entries that the last contest got! I want to thank everyone who participated. . .as always I wish I had more prizes to give away. . .but I have some plans for another contest in a week or two. Nothing as big as an iPod Touch, but probably more like a 10-20 dollar iTunes gift card so you... 

I just wanted to take a minute and thank each of the sponsors of AppStoreApps.com. With the redesign of the website it was able to open up a lot of spots for ads. I do realize that some people were turned off with the new layout(and the ads), but it has really given me the opportunity to relax and enjoy working for the website(with the extra time on my hands). So I figured out a way to do the ‘latest reviews’ is a blog style for the front page. I knew some people wouldn’t like the new featured category front page. . .but overall the response was good. I was doing some testing yesterday and figured out a way to do the blog style posts for the most recent reviews. If you check the front page now, you’ll see it shows the most recent... 

So a lot can change in just under 2 weeks. We got a new premium Wordpress theme, a new custom plugin(the ‘Most Popular Reviews’), and a TON of functionality. My goal was to open everything up, and below I will go into some of the major changes to the website. Instead of making you go to the daily deals category to see what applications recently went on sale. . .now this is right on the... 

Note - For some reason the comment box isn’t loading in Firefox(for me and a few other readers). If you load the page in Internet Explorer or Chrome(and I assume Safari since it’s just Webkit) it will load correctly. I am trying to get in touch with the owner of the theme to get this fixed. This is the ‘big contest’ that I was talking about before. Now to clear things up, this...

Since the website was redesigned, our good friend Jay sent in some updated images(for developers wanting to link to their reviews). You can check the Developers Page to see the new images. I had a request from a few developers to get ‘half star’ images. Thankfully Jay was able to help us with that as well. One of the best things about doing this website has been that everything seems to fall into place perfectly. One of the reasons why I wanted to go with a professional theme for the website was so that I didn’t have to mess with it.
